Proton Pen

The Proton pen is the safest way to needle the skin as I can control the speed and depth of the needles which enables me to adapt the treatment to suit all clients needs. The straight up and down action of the pen creates maximum effect with minimum down time. The Proton pen is CE approved and designed to work in synergy with other treatments within the clinic.

What is the difference between Nano needling and Micro needling?

The needle size, composition and depth that they penetrate into the skin is what make them different treatments and therefore they create a different response in the skin and are used for different benefits.

Nano needles are made of silicone hair-like cones instead of needles (diameter 0.1mm). Nano needling is a transdermal delivery treatment which means the action enables us to increase the delivery of actives into the skin where it is needed. There is minimal down time and it is a safe, comfortable treatment to have suitable for most clients.

Micro needles are made of medical grade stainless steel (diameter 0.25mm). Microneedling creates microscopic punctures in the skin. These microscopic punctures trigger the skin into a healing response to help regenerate the skin. During this process new collagen and elastin is formed which has huge benefits to the skins appearance. Micro needling penetrates deeper into the skin, but not further than 1.5mm. There is slight discomfort and 48 hours down time after treatment.

Benefits in treating:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Scarring
  • Skin texture
  • Acne scarring
  • Hyperpigmentation
